Small enough to know your setup

Phoenix businesses have plenty of phone options. Most of them are large national platforms that bill per user and leave the configuration to you. PJL Telecom works differently. We are an Arizona company, owner-operated by Preston Toborg out of Prescott, and we build and run the system for you.

You tell us how calls should flow. We set up the auto-attendant, the ring groups, the after-hours rules and the voicemail, move your numbers over, and ship your desk phones already programmed. When something needs to change later, you ask and we change it.

Who we work with

Professional offices. Law firms, CPA practices and insurance agencies that need calls answered the same way every time, with call recording and voicemail sent to email.

Property management companies. Separate paths for tenants, owners and maintenance emergencies, with after-hours calls sent where they belong.

Contractors and service companies. A dispatcher in the office and technicians in the field, all reachable on the company number through the mobile app.

Hotels and motels. Keep the analog room phones you have through gateways in the telco closet, with wake-up calls, room-to-room calling and 911 handling built for Kari's Law. More on our hotel phone systems page.

Phoenix-area questions

Where is PJL Telecom located?

PJL Telecom is based in Prescott, Arizona and is owner-operated by Preston Toborg. Phoenix metro systems are set up remotely and the phones ship to you pre-configured, so being in the Valley makes no difference to how setup works.

Can you keep our 602, 480 or 623 numbers?

Yes. We port your existing local and toll-free numbers for you at no charge. Callers keep dialing the same numbers.

We have offices in more than one Valley city. Can they share a system?

Yes. Several locations can run on one system with extension dialing between them. Pricing is per system rather than per user, and the quote builder shows what an additional location adds.

What if the internet goes out at our office?

Because the system is hosted, calls can be routed to mobile apps, another office or voicemail while your connection is down. The 99.99% uptime SLA covers our service and excludes scheduled maintenance and your own network or internet.
